Greene County man charged with attempted murder

TOWN OF GREENVILLE – A 63-year-old Town of Greenville man has been charged with attempted murder and other charges after he allegedly fired a shotgun at a 32-year-old woman striking her in the pelvic area, Greene County Sheriff’s Office reported Monday.

The incident occurred around 6:15 p.m. on Sunday. Deputies applied a tourniquet and carried her to a patrol car for transport to a landing zone where she airlifted to Albany Medical Center.

Authorities said the victim underwent emergency surgery and is currently in stable condition.

The suspect, Sean Davis, was also charged with assault and criminal use of a firearm.

Other charges are possible, authorities said.

Davis was remanded to the Greene County Jail without bail.

The sheriff’s office was assisted by the State Police, Greene County District Attorney’s Office, Greene County Emergency Services,  Greenville Ambulance, LifeNet, and the Greene County Paramedics.
