GOSHEN- The Orange County Sheriff’s Office has introduced new software that agency officials say will make it easier to track and report incidents of use of force, work-related injuries, commendations, complaints, and damage to agency property.

“As a highly accredited agency, we are continuously taking our agency into the future of law enforcement, which means providing the means for our staff to address deficiencies and promote exceptional actions,” said Orange County Sheriff Paul Arteta.

The programs, CI Technologies IA Pro, Blue Team, and EI Core, are programs that now track and document internal processes of the agency.

The Blue Team software allows field personnel within the corrections and criminal divisions to report on various incidents, including use of force incidents, field-level discipline, commendations, complaints, and agency-related vehicle accidents.  These reports are then digitally routed through the chain of command allowing for review and approval at each step.  The IA Pro software proactively monitor officers’ activities, tracks incidents, and generates detailed reports on officer performance and agency trends.

Funding for the programs was provided by Orange County District Attorney David Hoovler.

“As District Attorney, I am pleased to support the Sheriff’s Office purchase of IA Pro.  This type of software is the future of law enforcement and aids in the  predicting and tracking of officer behavior, leading to a more efficient department serving our citizens,” said Hoovler.
