NEW CITY – A 24-year-old New York City man pled guilty in Rockland County Court to disseminating indecent material to minors for attempting to meet an underage person in January, District Attorney Thomas Walsh II announced on Thursday.

Dylan Choe had engaged in an online conversation on social media with a Rockland DA undercover investigator claiming to be a 13-year-old girl.

Choe proceeded to have a sexually explicit conversation with the investigator who he thought was the child.

Walsh said Choe checked into a Rockland hotel and waited for the individual he believed was the teen and was arrested for disseminating indecent materials to minors.

Walsh said this arrest was the latest in the ongoing cybercrime sting operation launched by his office in 2022.

Last December, his office arrested seven men for sex crimes following a separate operation dubbed “Operation Catfish.”
