POUGHKEEPSIE – The City of Poughkeepsie Section 8 Office Housing Choice Voucher Program will begin accepting applications for placement onto the Housing Choice Voucher Waiting List beginning Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at 9:30 a.m., through Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at 11:30 a.m.
Applications will be available beginning September 13, 2023 at 9:30 a.m. at the city’s Section 8 Housing Office located at 1 Civic Center Plaza, Suite 301, in Poughkeepsie. The building is located at the corner of Main and Market Streets and the entrance is on the Main Street side.
Applications will be available for PICK-UP ONLY Monday through Friday, between the hours of 9:30 a.m. through 11:30 a.m. only.
Only one (1) application per person will be available.
Application may be copied, however, only completed copies in original format will be accepted. Only the current version of the application for September 2023 will be accepted. If an older version of the application is submitted, it will not be considered.
All completed applications must be returned by mail, postmarked no later than October 4, 2023, and absolutely no double-sided copies will be accepted. Applications cannot be returned in person, emailed, or faxed to the office.

All applicants must be 18 years or older. Any incomplete, illegible, or late applications will be returned to the sender. Waiting list preference will be given to Dutchess County residents.
