Mobile Health RV

POUGHKEEPSIE – Dutchess County Department of Behavioral and Community Health is launching the new mobile health RV, funded with a $250,000 grant secured by Assemblywoman Didi Barrett (D, Hudson).

The unit will be available to serve residents throughout the county, particularly in rural communities where resources may be more limited.

The county department will work with local communities and organizations to provide a variety of public and mental health services based on local needs.

“Critical mental and behavioral health providers have been in short supply in the rural eastern and northern communities of Dutchess County,” said Barrett. “So, it was especially important to me, in funding this mobile health unit, to ensure these much-needed services, as well as other essential public health offerings, would be more accessible to our local families, seniors, teens and children.”
