HAVERSTRAW – The two women killed in an early New Year’s morning crash in the Town of Haverstraw were an 87-year-old mother and her 65-year-old daughter.
A second daughter, 64, who was driving, was also a daughter of the older woman. She survived the crash when the vehicle ran off a road and through a fence.
Police have yet to release their names, but said they were all from neighboring Stony Point.
It is believed that rain and fog were contributing factors to the tragic crash, police said.
