Cortlandt man charged with burglarizing several homes

CORTLANDT – State Police from the Cortlandt barracks and the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office have arrested a Cortlandt man on four counts of felony burglary and criminal mischief.

Law enforcement had been investigating the burglaries since October in Philipstown and Cortlandt areas.

Troopers responded to an address near Gallows Hill Road in Cortlandt for a report of a burglary.

With the help of the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office and a State Police K-9 unit, the suspect, Harold Mann, was tracked down and arrested.

Further investigation revealed Mann was allegedly responsible for several other burglaries in the area.

He was arraigned and remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $75,000 cash bail, $200,000 bond and $400,000 partially secure bond.
