POUGHKEEPSIE – City police are investigating a Monday night shooting that sent once man to the hospital with a bullet wound to the abdomen. The Mansion Street incident occurred at approximately 9: 45 p.m.
Police, fire, and EMS personnel were dispatched to the area of the Mansion Street Apartments at 364 Mansion Street for a report of a man with a gunshot wound. The victim was located in the vicinity of 337 Mansion Street, triaged, and transported to a local hospital by Mobile Life personnel with a police officer following the ambulance.
City of Poughkeepsie police patrol units and detectives were canvassing the area near the apartment building in search of evidence. Additional police personnel were interviewing potential witnesses at the intersection of Mansion Street and Pershing Avenue.
