New Rochelle man shot dead

NEW ROCHELLE – A 29-year-old New Rochelle man was shot and later died in that city on Wednesday.

New Rochelle Police said the victim was found with several gunshot wounds near the intersection of Horton Avenue and Colonel Lee Archer Boulevard just before 6 p.m.

Police, fire and ambulance personnel administered first aid and the victim was transported to a local hospital, where he later died, police said.

His name was not immediately released.

Police ask anyone with information about the shooting to call them at 914-654-2300.
