TOWN OF WALLKILL – The Orange County Democratic Committee has a new chairman, Zak Constantine, at 22 years old, believed to be the youngest county political party leader in the state.
He said this is a crucial time for the party and the nation.
“The pressure is really on to deliver some big election victories this year in our crucial mid-term elections, and also to plan ahead for the important local elections in the years to come,” he said.
Constantine said Democrats are focused on “what is going on in politics right now,” as he pointed to taking away a woman’s right to choose.
Constantine replaces Brett Broge as chairman. He has stepped down after serving in that position for eight years.
