POUGHKEEPSIE – City Police in Poughkeepsie are investigating a Saturday morning shooting that sent a man to the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds. The incident occurred at approximately 1:11 a.m. on September 3rd.
According to the police, officers patrolling Main Street were flagged down on the 400 block and were told that a shooting had occurred. The officers located the man who had been shot multiple times in the leg and abdomen. The officers were advised that the assailant had fled the scene after shooting the victim.
The man was triaged at the scene by EMS personnel and transported to MidHudson Regional Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening wounds.
Detectives and Crime Scene technicians responded to both the hospital and crime scene to conduct interviews and collect evidence.
