NEWBURGH – The next “Mrs. America” pageant winner, to be crowned next Friday, August 19, may very well be Kate Boydston, a graduate of Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh. The pageant will be held in Las Vegas.
Boydston won the title of Mrs. New York American 2022 last month in Syracuse.
“Promoting maternal mental health and showing my children that giving back to our community are my main goals as Mrs. New York American,” she said. “Partnering with Mom Congress, MoMMA’s Voices, and the Maternal Mental Health Alliance gives me the support to continue spreading my message.”
Boydston will compete in three categories for the Mrs. American title – personal interview, fitness, and evening gown.
The event will be livestreamed from Las Vegas.
The winner of the competition will go on to compete in the Mrs. World competition.
Boydston and her husband, Chris, met on the Mount campus and got married at the college in August 2015.
