NEW PALTZ – As part of its ongoing superintendent search process, the New Paltz Central School District Board of Education is seeking community input on the experience, skills, and characteristics desired for its next superintendent of schools.

Staff members, students, and community residents are invited to contribute to this decision by participating in a brief survey, which is available in both English and Spanish. The survey can be accessed from the district’s homepage at www.newpaltz.k12.ny.us/tellus and will be available through July 31.

The district’s search consultant, Ulster BOCES District Superintendent Dr. Charles Khoury, will use the results of this anonymous, confidential survey, along with unedited feedback gathered from previous surveys and community focus groups, to create a profile that will help the board of education identify and interview potential candidates who best match the district’s needs.

The board of education has also scheduled several casual, community-based feedback sessions that will allow stakeholders to discuss the search process with board representatives. Participants can join the board representatives from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sunday, July 24 at the New Paltz Middle School Courtyard, as well as at the Main Street Bistro on August 1 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
