Man stabbed multiple times; unable to explain the details of assault

POUGHKEEPSIE – A 44-year-old man was stabbed multiple times on Mansion Street on Monday night in Poughkeepsie.  The victim was transported to a local hospital and officers are investigating the incident.

City of Poughkeepsie police responded to the area of 317 Mansion Street just before 11:00 p.m. for a report of a man that had been robbed at knifepoint.

Responding officers found the victim with multiple stab wounds to the hands and legs.  The victim was transported to a local hospital with injuries described as “non-life-threatening”.

A police official indicated that the victim was unable to assist the police with the investigation prior to being transported to the hospital.
