MAMAKATING – Route 209 in the Town of Mamakating was shut down in both directions Friday morning following a head-on auto accident near the Kohl’s distribution center in which one person was killed.
State Police, Mamakating Ambulance and Wurtsboro firefighters were on the scene.
One driver, a 22-year-old Middletown man, was reported to have been pronounced dead at the scene and the driver of the other vehicle was transported to an area trauma center.
