Wallkill woman charged with stealing close to $30,000 with stolen driver’s license

TOWN OF WALLKILL – A 56-year-old woman from the Town of Wallkill was arrested on Wednesday by State Police from the Montgomery barracks following an investigation into fraudulent transactions at TD Banks.

The investigation revealed that Tammy Granieri used a stolen New York State driver’s license to obtain access to the victim’s bank account.

From November 2018 through April 2022, Granieri allegedly stole over $29,700 from the account using a fraudulent ID card.

She was charged with the felonies of grand larceny, identity theft, and forgery and released on her own recognizance.
