WHITE PLAINS – A 51-year-old White Plains man was sentenced to 12 years in state prison with five years of post-release supervision for stabbing a man in the chest during a 2020 robbery.

Prince Rogers had been convicted after trial of armed robbery, two counts of assault, grand larceny and criminal possession of a weapon, all felonies.

At about 10:30 p.m. on November 18, 2020, Rogers and the victim were sitting in the victim’s parked car on Tarrytown Road in Greenburgh when the defendant stabbed the other man in the chest with a knife. He then forcibly stole the victim’s money, cell phone and car and fled the scene.

The victim was transported to Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla where he underwent treatment for his wounds.

Greenburgh Police arrested Rogers at his residence following an investigation, with assistance from White Plains Police and the FBI Westchester Safe Streets Task Force.
