President of civic center resigns abruptly

POUGHKEEPSIE – Danielle Anderson, President of Mid Hudson Civic Center Inc. (MHCC) tendered her resignation to the board of directors on Friday, November 12.  The MHCC is now known as the Majed J. Nesheiwat Convention Center The resignation is effective immediately.
 
Anderson became a widow in September when her husband, Dutchess County Sheriff Butch Anderson passed away.  “I have to concentrate on my family and my babies need their mother more than ever,” said Mrs. Anderson.  “Having my husband pass away has shown me that family needs to be first and foremost above all else.”
 
MHCC Chairman Michael McCormack accepted the resignation on Friday afternoon.  He said that the board will begin a search for a new president in the coming days.  “We thank Danielle for her years of service to our institution and our prayers are with her and her family,” McCormack said, adding “The Neishwat Conference Center is a better place due to the hard work that Danielle provided us.”
