WURTSBORO – Bagpipes and a three-gun salute marked a Veterans Day ceremony in Wurtsboro.

Dozens attended to thank America’s servicemen and women.

Sullivan County American Legion Commander John Lacey said a divided country is not good for its future.

“We veterans are very concerned about the future of the United States of America. The division is not good for the welfare of our great nation. May the veterans always be there for our great nation and may God watch over us,” he said.

Similar Veterans Day ceremonies were held across the Hudson Valley and Catskills on Thursday.
