GOSHEN – In the wake of Orange County Legislator Stephen Brescia’s sexually harassing comments made to a female county employee, a second legislative colleague has called for his immediate resignation.

Michael Anagnostakis, a fellow Republican who represents a portion of Montgomery, said it is time for Brescia to leave office.

“In my opinion, Steve Brescia has long been unfit – both mentally and emotionally – to be an Orange County legislator and should resign immediately,” Anagnostakis said.

Just days before, Legislator Jimmy O’Donnell called for Brescia’s resignation.

The former legislature chairman admitted to making comments to an employee about her body.

An investigation by the county Human Resources Department found him guilty and said he should brush up on the county’s policies regarding sexual harassment in the workplace.
