CLAVERACK – Two men were killed when the car they were in struck a utility pole.
State Police said the incident occurred around 1 a.m. on August 29 when a car ran off Preusser Road in the Town of Claverack, struck a utility pole and burst into flames.
One of the occupants, Robert Bailly, 32, of Stockport, was severely injured and outside the vehicle.
Kyle Germann, 25, of New York City, was dead inside the vehicle.
Bailly was airlifted to Albay Medical Center where he died from his injuries.
Philmont and Claverack fire departments assisted at the scene.
The investigation is continuing.
