EAST FISHKILL – The driver of a vehicle that crashed in Stormville while attempting to flee police has been identified as 31-year-old Bronx resident Allan Forbes.  He is currently in Westchester Medical Center in stable condition.
On August 19, at approximately 1:30 p.m., a trooper stopped a vehicle operated by Forbes on the Taconic State Parkway in East Fishkill that was suspected of speeding. As the trooper was questioning the driver, he sped off, exiting the Taconic and heading eastbound on State Route 52. Troopers pursued the vehicle, which drove off the road and struck a tree at SR-52 and Overhill Road. Forbes attempted to run from the scene but was taken into custody by troopers. He then lost consciousness.

Forbes was transported by helicopter to Westchester Medical Center for treatment.  He has been issued tickets for Misdemeanor Unlawfully fleeing a police officer, Criminal Impersonation, and Reckless Driving.  He is scheduled to appear in East Fishkill Justice Court on September 28.
