TOWN OF LLOYD – A search warrant executed by the Ulster Regional Gang Enforcement Narcotics Team (URGENT) resulted in the arrest of two Highland residents suspected of dealing cocaine.  Lloyd Police Chief James Janso said the arrests happened on Monday, May 24.

URGENT executed a search warrant obtained after a lengthy investigation at a motel where 40-year-old Melvin Quinones and 35-year-old Rebecca Symes were residing. The raid resulted in the seizure of approximately two ounces of cocaine, scales, and packaging material.

Both were charged with the felony of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance and the misdemeanor of Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia.

Symes was released with an appearance ticket.  Quinones was arraigned in the City of Kingston Court due to being under the supervision of Ulster County Probation. He was released on his own recognizance.
