Two incidents of shots being fired under investigation in Kingston

KINGSTON – Police in the City of Kingston are investigating reports of two shots fired incidents.

The first occurred on Saturday, February 27 at about 3:50 p.m. on Elmendorf Street between Broadway and Belvedere Street.

Several shots were fired by one person at another. Both are known to each other and no one was injured, police said. A suspect has been identified.

The second occurred on Monday, March 1 at about 11:40 a.m. in the parking lot that runs alongside the CSX railroad tracks between Smith Avenue and Railroad Avenue.

No one appears to have been injured.

A black, four-door sedan and a man wearing a hooded jacket, gray or light-colored pants and white sneakers were seen in the area at the time the shots were fired.

The vehicle was last seen driving down Railroad Avenue toward Greenkill Avenue.

The investigation is continuing.
