CHESTER – Police have identified the truck driver struck and killed in the parking lot at C&S Wholesale Grocers on Elizabeth Drive in the Town of Chester as Bryan Teets, 43, of Palmyra, Virginia.
Town police said Teets was near the loading docks just before 1 a.m. when a loader owned by AJM Trucking and operated by Steven Masiero, 59, of Pine Bush struck the driver as he walked in the lot. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Assisting town police at the scene were the State Police, Orange County Medical Examiner’s Officer and Chester Fire Department.
The investigation is continuing, but the information revealed so far does not indicate any criminal conduct, Police Chief Dan Doellinger said.
