EAST FISHKILL – The executive director of the Dutchess County Council on Addiction and Prevention has passed away. Elaine Trumpetto of East Fishkill was 66 at the time of her death on December 3.
County Executive Marcus Molinaro said the county “has lost a true champion hero.”
Trumpetto was “a dedicated leader of CAPE, helping to save lives through her work even as she fought her own health battles,” he said. “She was a valued partner in our ongoing efforts to break through the stigma of addiction and connect people with the help they need.”
