Tennessee woman issued 21 tickets following 30-mile pursuit

KINGSTON – State Police have arrested a Johnson City, Tennessee woman after a 30-mile, 25-minute car chase from the Town of Hunter to the City of Kingston.

Just before 7 a.m. on Monday, troopers attempted to stop a 2003 Honda for a vehicle and traffic law violation on Route 23A.

The vehicle, driven by Erica Overhill, 31, failed to stop and attempted to flee from the trooper, entering the Thruway southbound until getting off at exit 19 and continuing into the City of Kingston where the chase ended on Abeel Street.

During the pursuit, four State Police vehicles were damaged.

Overhill was charged with criminal mischief and reckless endangerment, both as felonies, reckless endangerment as a misdemeanor, and unlawful possession of marijuana.
