SAUGERTIES – With all votes tallied on election night, Republican Richard Amedure, Jr. is in the lead over Democrat Michelle Hinchey in the race for the 46th State Senate District.
Hinchey’s campaign, however, is maintaining that when the 23,000 absentee ballots that have been received are counted, Hinchey will prevail.
The final outcome will be learned when all of the absentee ballots are counted.
