ROSENDALE – A 30-year-old Kingston man was arrested late Monday night on a charge of armed robbery for allegedly holding up a clerk at the Mobil gas station on Route 32 in Rosendale.
The incident occurred around 10:45 pm.
The suspect, later identified as Gary Hoffman, fled the scene, was later arrested by State Police.
He was charged with armed robbery, criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of stolen property. Police did not specify the nature of the weapon.
Hoffman was arraigned and remanded to the Ulster County Jail without bail.
