Car crashes on Route 17 ramp near Monticello, catches fire

TOWN OF THOMPSON – A car that struck a signpost at exit 104 on Route 17 in the Town of Thompson caught fire.

The accident Saturday evening brought out the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office, Monticello Fire Department and Mobile Medic ambulance.

The cause of the accident is under investigation and it was not immediately known if there were any injuries.
