NEW CITY – The man accused of killing a mother and daughter in Valley Cottage on May 26 was indicted virtually on Saturday on two counts of murder.

Robert Williams III, 32, of Hillcrest, was arrested by Clarkstown Police for killing Wanda Castor and her daughter, Kathleen Castor in what District Attorney Thomas Walsh said were “brutal slayings in a senseless act of rage and violence.”

Kathleen Castor’s infant daughter, Anastasia, was left at the scene unharmed, but now without a mother and grandmother, Walsh said.

The DA said Rockland County “will not stand for these acts of violence. We will ensure justice in services.” In addition to two murder charges, Williams has also been charged with criminal possession of a weapon and criminal contempt, all as felonies.
