Two charged with firing at Woodstock house

WOODSTOCK – Two people have been arrested following an investigation into several shots fired at an occupied residence in the Town of Woodstock.

The Ulster Regional Gang Enforcement Narcotics Team and Woodstock Police investigated the report of the April 29 incident at 9:30 p.m.

Evidence located at the scene suggested a firearm had been discharged at the home.

In investigation resulted in the arrests of Taejah Dash, 18, of Shandaken, and Austin Hollister, 21, of Kingston on Thursday, May 14.

Dash was charged with felonies of attempted assault with a deadly weapon and criminal mischief as well as the misdemeanor of reckless endangerment.

Holliser was charged with felonies of attempted assault with a deadly weapon and two counts of criminal mischief as well as misdemeanors of criminal possession of a weapon and reckless endangerment.

Both were arraigned and released to reappear in Woodstock Town Justice Court.

URGENT and Woodstock Police were also assisted by the Greene County Sheriff’s Office and State Police.
