SPRING VALLEY – Village Police in Spring Valley arrested a local man who is wanted for a violent felony on an active State Police parole warrant.
Spring Valley Police said that around 2:30 a.m. on September 26, an officer on patrol at the transit center at 1 Municipal Plaza spotted Alex Sostre, 52, of Spring Valley walking in the parking lot.
Sostre attempted to flee as the officer went to make contact, but after a foot pursuit and struggle, He was taken into custody and charged with resisting arrest and obstructing governmental administration. He is in the Rockland County Jail on the parole warrant.
