NEWBURGH – One man is dead and another wounded in a late Saturday night shooting in the City of Newburgh.
Police were called to the area of Liberty and Clinton streets at 11:16 p.m. “Shot Spotter” notification of several rounds being fired.
Aned Alberto Alvarado-Baquedano, 35, of Newburgh was shot in the neck. He was transported to Montefiore St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital via Mobile Life Support ambulance where he was pronounced dead.
Officers also located Almighty Ward, 18, who was transported to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg.
