Woman arrested for drugs, endangering welfare of her infant twins

YONKERS – A New Rochelle woman was arrested on Friday afternoon, September 13 in Yonkers after she was found unconscious and slumped over a baby carriage with her two six-month-old daughters inside.

Jessica Reyes, 30, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Officers found her holding a cigar that later tested for PCP and synthetic marijuana.

When they were finally able to arouse her, Reyes said, “Don’t take my children; I only took a few pills.”

She was arrested and her babies were turned over to Child Protective Services for case management.

Reyes was sent to the Westchester County Jail pending a future court appearance.
