BRONX – Two infants, both one year old, residents of Rockland County, were found dead in a vehicle at West Kingsbridge Road and Kingsbridge Terrace in the Bronx late Friday afternoon. New York City Police took their 39-year-old father into custody at the scene.
Mariza Rodriguez and her brother, Phoenix Rodriguez, were found unconscious and unresponsive in the rear seat of the vehicle shortly after 4 p.m. EMS responded and pronounced them both dead.
Police did not release the father’s name.
The medical examiner’s office will determine the cause of death and the investigation is continuing.
