KINGSTON – City Police in Kingston are investigating shots fired in the area of Newkirk Avenue around 7:15 p.m. Tuesday.
Witnesses told police a man walking north on Newkirk Avenue was firing a handgun at a vehicle that was also northbound on Newkirk.
Both the vehicle and the man were last seen heading towards Delaware Avenue with the vehicle believed to have turned westbound on Delaware Avenue.
There were no indications or reports of anyone being struck, police said.
Kingston Police are asking anyone who may have information about the incident to call them at 845-331-1671.
City Polie were assisted by State Police and the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office.
