POUGHKEEPSIE – A Poughkeepsie middle school-age boy was stabbed in the abdomen Wednesday afternoon when he went to Worrall Avenue and Grub Street for a planned fight with another boy.

The victim was rushed to the hospital.

Police are looking for the alleged perpetrator. He was described as Hispanic with dark, curly hair, black shirt and pants and white shoes. His shirt had a marijuana symbol on it.

Another youth on the street at the time told Mid-Hudson News that the two had planned to meet for a fight and that the perpetrator brought a knife with him and used it to stab the other boy. This incident comes one day after a 19-year-old Poughkeepsie High School student brought a gun to school. He was arrested without incident.
