POUGHKEEPSIE – The Dutchess County Drug Task Force arrested a City of Poughkeepsie man following execution of a search warrant at 13 Academy Street. The warrant search was the result of an investigation into narcotics sales taking place at that location and surrounding area.
During the warrant search, police seized 20 grams of heroin, a loaded handgun that had been reported stolen, $800 in cash, scales and packaging material. Police charged Jamani Brown, 24, with criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell and criminal possession of a weapon, both as felonies. Additional charges are pending, police said. He was sent to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond
