RHINEBECK – An evening car crash on Route 9G in the Town of Rhinebeck claimed the life of a Milton, Vermont woman.
State Police said an SUV driven by Robert Dancy, 35, of Worchester, New York was southbound on Route 9G when it crossed into the northbound lane and struck an oncoming car driven by Emily Wootton, 20, of Vermont. She died at the scene.
Dancy was transported with serious injuries to Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla.
Hillside and Rhinebeck fire departments assisted at the scene along with Northern Dutchess Paramedics
The investigation is continuing.
