RHINEBECK – An evening
car crash on Route 9G in the Town of Rhinebeck claimed the life of a 20-year-old
Milton, Vermont woman.
State Police said a 1997 Ford Explorer driven by Robert Dancy, 35, of
Worchester, New York was traveling southbound on Route 9G when it crossed
into the northbound lane and struck an oncoming 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt
driven by Emily Wootton of Vermont.
She was pronounced dead at the scene by the Dutchess County Medical Examiner’s
Office.
Dancy was transported with serious injuries to Westchester Medical Center
in Valhalla.
The investigation is continuing.
