Walden man arrested with stolen gun following incident

TOWN OF WALLKILL – An investigation that began Sunday evening with
a report of hostages taken at an apartment at 327 East Main Street in
the Town of Wallkill has resulted in a Walden man being arrested and charged
with possessing a stolen gun.

Police Chief Robert Hertman said the hostage report was unfounded, but
further investigation led to the arrest of Tyshawn Hargrove, 23, of Walden,
who was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession
of stolen property as a 9 mm pistol was located at the scene.

A computer check revealed the gun had been stolen.

Hargrove was remanded to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $100,000 cash
bail or $300,000 bond.
