Bronx woman arrested for trying to smuggle drugs in Fishkill prison

FISHKILL – A 48-year-old Bronx woman has been arrested after she
allegedly tried to bring 18.3 grams of synthetic marijuana and 85 sublingual
suboxone strips into Fishkill Correctional Facility.

The drugs were hidden in black balloons on Diana Guzman’s person.

She was charged with introducing dangerous contraband into prison, criminal
possession of a controlled substance, both felonies, and misdemeanors
of drug possession and introducing contraband into prison.

The allegedly tried to smuggle the drugs into the prison on November 3.

She was arraigned and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of
$5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond.
