Wappingers Falls woman charged with arson

POUGHKEEPSIE – The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office has arrested
a Wappingers Falls woman on arson and other related charges.

Investigation into a series of incidents over the last several months
in the Town of Wappinger revealed that Dana Weitlich, 39, allegedly set
fire to a structure on a residential property and attempted to set a vehicle
on fire.

She was arrested on Tuesday, October 23 and charged with arson, criminal
mischief, reckless endangerment, and attempted criminal mischief.

She was arraigned and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of
$50,000 cash bail or $100,000 bond.

Police said the investigation is continuing and anyone with information
on those incidents or related ones involving Weitlich is asked to contact
