Arrests made in NY, PA burglaries; $40K worth of iPhones recovered

PORT JERVIS – A police investigation has resulted in arrests in connection with commercial burglaries in New York and Pennsylvania.
Saturday evening Port Jervis Police arrested Darick Sylvan, 29, of Brentwood,
Lourriston Potter, 36, of Port Jervis, and Donald Potter, 31, of Medford
and charged them with criminal possession of stolen property, criminal
possession of burglar’s tools, and criminal possession of marijuana.
They were arrested after an investigation into a report of suspicious activity occurring on Brown Street in Port Jervis’ First Ward Acre section.
Officers recovered cocaine, marijuana and over $40,000 in new iPhones that were reported stolen during an overnight commercial burglary at a Sprint store in the Town of Wallkill. Police also recovered tools and equipment that were connected to overnight burglaries in Westfall Township, Pennsylvania and the Sprint store in the Town of Wallkill.
Potter and Peter Tansey, 28, of Port Jervis, were also charged with tampering with physical evidence.
All were sent to to the Orange County Jail pending future court appearances.  Bail was set at $50,000 for Sylvan and $10,000 for Tansey.  Both Potters are held without bail.
The investigation is continuing by Eastern Pike Regional Police in Westfall Township, Pennsylvania, Town of Wallkill and Port Jervis Police.
