First responders scour Hudson for reported bridge jumper- UPDATE!

BEACON – First responders took to the Hudson River near the Newburgh-Beacon
Bridge Friday and Saturday for a report of a person who jumped from the
structure Friday afternoon.
A witness reported the person jumped off the eastbound span closer to the Beacon side.
Emergency watercraft responded from several area police and fire departments while a police helicopter flew overhead looking for any signs of a person in the water.
As of Friday night, there was no word on results of the search.
