No one was injured in this collision between a CSX train and a
car carrier

WEST NYACK – A CSX freight train struck a car-carrier truck at
the railroad crossing at Pineview Road in West Nyack at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday
and two state lawmakers are criticizing the state Department of Transportation
about it.

No one was injured in this incident, but Senator David Carlucci and Assemblyman
Thomas Abinanti said they are “too common.”

The lawmakers noted that a person was killed at a railroad crossing in
Haverstraw last month.

“It’s completely unacceptable that the State Department of
Transportation continues to sit by idle and violate law by not delivering
their rail grade crossing safety study,” Carlucci and Abinanti said
in a joint statement.

Clarkstown Police investigated this latest incident.
