Chester supervisor pleads guilty, will resign

ALBANY – Chester Town Supervisor Alex Jamieson pled guilty in Albany
County Court on Tuesday, admitted that he collected $5,695 in state unemployment
benefits while working.

Jamieson pled guilty to two counts of filing a false instrument for filing,
will serve no jail time and will have to resign from his town job.

He will also have to make full restitution by the time he is sentenced
in November.

Jamieson was initially charged with one count of grand larceny and 22
counts of offering a false instrument for filing.
