ALBANY – Three municipalities
will receive $100,000 each in state grants for purchases or repairs.
The Town of Warwick will use the money to buy a new plow truck, which Town Supervisor Michael Sweeton said will come in handy to keep the more than 200 miles of roads clear in the winter.
The Town of Liberty will use its money for a new roof and boiler at Town Hall. Town Supervisor Brian Rourke said the upgrades will preserve the historic building.
The Town of Shawangunk will use its funding to replace the roof on the pavilion at Popp Park and for improvements at Verkeerder Kill Park, two parks town residents routinely visit for recreation, said Town Supervisor John Valk.
State Senator John Bonacic secured the funding through the state budget.
