Excessive speed, operator inexperience ruled causes of fatal motorcycle crash

TOWN OF CHESTER – A Chester man was killed when his motorcycle ran off Route 94 just east of Garden Street in the Town of Chester and struck several fixed objects on August 23.
Michael Simpson, 29, was transported to Orange Regional Medical Center in the Town of Wallkill where he died.
Town Police said preliminary investigation into the late-night accident revealed the causes to be excessive speed and operator inexperience.
The Chester Fire Department, Village of Chester Police and Mobile Life Support Services assisted at the scene.
